Episode 25

Whole Brain Living with Dr Jill Bolte Taylor

Published on: 21st November, 2021

This week Cass Dunn chats with Harvard-trained and published neuroscientist Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor. Dr Taylor is most famous for her fascinating TED talk My stroke of insight, where she talked about her experience of having a stroke that caused her the left hemisphere of her brain to 'go offline'.

In this chat Dr Taylor unpacks her new book Whole Brain Living, where she argues that we don’t just a left and right hemisphere, we actually have four brain quadrants - left thinking, left feeling and right thinking, right feeling.

She explains how getting to know these four ‘characters’ that live inside our brains can bring about life changing improvements to our sense of wellbeing and our ability to live life in a calm, present and playful state.
